Theater Classes

Grand Blanc Youth Arts is partnering up with local theater teachers to offer music theater classes for children in the community. Children will develop acting, drama, and singing skills through various music theater numbers that will be showcased in a public performance for friends, family, and community members.

Drumline

The GBYA drumline is a percussion ensemble that features the standard drumline instruments that you see in most high school marching bands but is open to elementary and middle school students. Children will learn to read and perform basic rhythms and drum rudiments on their specific drums. They will collaborate with the entire ensemble to play fun drumline arrangements that they will share with the community through public performances.

Violin Level 1- Myers Elementary

Open to all 4th & 5th Grade Students at Myers Elementary, Bobcat Virtual, and Homeschool students that live in Grand Blanc.

Join us for our "Level 1" violin class! Children will learn the basics of playing violin such as correct posture, holding the instrument, finger placement, plucking, and bowing. Over the course of 8 afterschool classes, students will use these skills learned to play fun and simple songs on the violin. A violin is provided for each student to use during class, however, they will not be able to take it home to practice.

Location: Myers Elementary Tech-Ex Room

Class Times: Mondays & Wednesdays after-school, 3:50-5:00pm
Class Dates (8 total):

February 24 & 26
March 3, 5, 10, 17, 19, 24

Registration Fee: $100.00

In the event of a snow day, class will be cancelled. We will try our best to reschedule the cancelled class

I understand that my child is to be promplty picked up after each rehearsal. Grand Blanc Youth Arts reserves the right to unenroll a student from it's programs after 2 instances of late pickups.

I understand Grand Blanc Youth Arts reserves the right to unenroll a student from it's programs due to ongoing behavior concerns. If student behavior concerns arise, the instructor will communicate with the parents to address these concerns.

I understand the Cancellation and Refund policy. Cancellation and Refund requests will be honored up until 24 hours before the start of the first class. Refunds may not be honored if cancellations happen after that time. All refunds will be subject to a 3% transaction fee.
